Joe Gladwin is an internationally acclaimed puppeteer and workshop leader, performing his puppet theatre shows at festivals in France, Germany, Holland and the USA and in arts centres, children’s theatres, museums and schools. He specialises in the creation of a total theatre production – script, set, staging, light and music – only in miniature. All his shows are voiced live and he marries exceptional craftsmanship with outstanding performance skills.
In 2005, Joe’s work was recognised by the British Puppet and Model Theatre Guild who awarded him the prestigious “President’s Plate”. As a puppeteer he has worked with companies in Australia, South East Asia and Japan. He has trained students and actors at a professional level as well as small groups of school children and enthusiastic amateurs. He has been an Education Officer for the Puppet Centre Trust as well as a guest workshop practitioner at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
He has worked extensively in schools in South West England including performing his shows and leading workshops in both state and independent schools.
